Yahoo has launched a public beta version of the OpenID service. This means that all 248 million users will be able to go to the pages of any website that supports the OpenID 2,0.
Without going into technical details, we can say that OpenID is a single way to access all the resources it supports and helps to prevent the manipulation of personal user data for criminal purposes. Among the sites that support OpenID, you can call such social networking sites like Plaxo, Jytt and many others.
Currently, English-language service is available to users in 17 countries. In the near future will be available to other international, version of the service.
